Yoga Nidra – Guided Rest

Fortnightly, Tuesday 12pm

Exhaustion, disrupted sleep, and a constantly active mind can make it hard to truly rest while facing cancer. Yoga Nidra is a gentle, guided lying-down practice designed to deeply relax the body and settle the nervous system without any movement or effort. It can help ease tension, support better sleep, and create a sense of calm even on low-energy days. You will leave feeling more rested, clearer, and more restored, even if sleep itself has been difficult.

Mindfulness – Calm the mind

Monthly, Monday 10am

Stress, worry, and mental overload can make it difficult to stay present while facing cancer. This gentle mindfulness class offers simple, practical tools to help quiet the mind, reduce stress, and create moments of calm in your day. Through breathwork, grounding exercises, and guided awareness practices, you’ll learn how to stay present even in difficult moments. You’ll leave with easy techniques to support emotional balance, clarity, and resilience in everyday life.

Tapping – Emotional Freedom Technique

Fortnightly, Wednesday 4pm

Emotional stress, anxiety, and overwhelm are common during cancer treatment and can feel hard to manage day-to-day. Tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a gentle, evidence-informed practice that uses light touch on specific points of the body to help reduce tension and support emotional wellbeing. In this supportive session, you’ll learn how tapping works and how to use it as a practical self-care tool. You’ll leave feeling calmer, more emotionally supported, and equipped with a simple technique you can use anytime you need it.

Breathwork

Stress, anxiety, and physical tension can build up while facing cancer, leaving the body and mind feeling overwhelmed. This fully guided breathwork session uses conscious breathing techniques to help soothe the nervous system, release tension, and restore a sense of calm and balance. Through active breath and gentle down-regulation, you’ll be supported to reconnect with your body, ease emotional intensity, and build resilience from within. You’ll leave feeling more grounded, calmer, and more in control of your inner state.

“You lose a bit of your identity. You're going to have good and bad days, and so it's just acknowledging that and then finding tools to help you through it. It's an ongoing journey, so mental health is so important to give yourself compassion. I've been quite proactive in trying to join sessions that have a mental health aspect – mindfulness, breathing, anything that will get you into a good space, because, I may look well from the outside, but I'm still going through a lot."
